Inside The Dreamy Whitsundays Wedding of Renowned New Zealand Florist, Hannah Smith.

We couldn’t think of a better way to launch our first-ever wedding feature than with Hannah and Brendon’s dreamy Whitsundays celebration. As an incredibly talented florist based in Hawke's Bay, Hannah has an eye for beauty and a deep appreciation for thoughtful design— so it's no surprise that every detail of her wedding was effortlessly elegant. Set against a stunning coastal backdrop, the day was intimate, relaxed and filled with the kind of energy that makes a night unforgettable. In this interview, Hannah shares how she prepped her skin for the big day, the bridal trends she’s loving, and the moments she’ll never forget.

What was your vision for your wedding day?

I wanted a relaxed, fun, cocktail-style wedding that felt more like an amazing party than a formal event. We made it happen with incredible florals, great music, and flowing cocktails— it was all about creating a laid-back, celebratory atmosphere.

What was your wedding day beauty vibe in three words?

Fresh, effortless & natural.

What was your biggest skincare concern leading up to your wedding and how did you address it?

My biggest concern was breakouts. To tackle it, I focused on cutting back on too many skincare products, simplifying my routine, and committing to laser treatments, red and blue light therapy to calm and heal, and even out my skin.

Did you make any changes to your skincare routine before your wedding? If so, did it pay off?

Yes! I pared back my routine to avoid overwhelming my skin and focused on professional treatments and reducing stress.

What bridal trends are you loving at the moment?

I'm loving natural glowing skin, statement floral designs with unique tablescapes, and modern yet timeless cocktail-style receptions where guests can really relax and enjoy the vibe.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?

The energy of the night! Seeing everyone laughing, dancing, and truly enjoying themselves was the best feeling. It was exactly the vibe we wanted— relaxed, fun, and filled with love.
